My Background in Coaching & Acting
Maria is an on set coach for actors of all ages and backgrounds. She works with actors privately for television and film auditions. She also coaches classical and contemporary monologue preparation for theatre auditions.
Maria Ricossa is currently the on-set coach for Tiny Pretty Things, a Netflix Series. Recently she worked as the on set coach for Shadowhunters, an ABC Freeform series in production for its 2nd season. Past experience includes on set coaching for The Prizewinner of Defiance Ohio, Hairspray and The Music Man.
Maria has been a series lead, guest star and recurring character on numerous television series, most recently in the FX series The Strain. Leading roles in feature films include The InLaws and The Space in Been. Stage roles include four seasons at the Stratford Festival. For all credits see IMBD.
Maria has taught acting at George Brown Theatre School, Armstrong Acting Studio and University of Toronto. She is presently on faculty in the Screen Acting program at Humber College.
